AIAYU

Started back in 2005 — where AIAYU launched their first collection of knitwear. A timeless Scandinavian style mixed with true craftsmanship. Specialists in knitwear and organic cotton clothing. They use the wool from llamas for a large chunk of their range — something not typically seen in the scandinavian market.

How a product is manufactured is just as important as how it looks to AIAYU. They use a single supplier for all clothing — which keeps the supply chain simple and more transparent. They manufacture as close to the material's origin as possible. Drawing on the expertise of the people that know the material the best. Whilst supporting local communities at the same time.

They reuse organic cotton scraps as part of their zero waste initiative in India. They use the scraps to make clothing tags, labels, and one-off items. Profits from the programme are donated to a local Indian school for disabled children.
